General Description
The Technical Producer is responsible for the overall coordination and administration of the service elements required in the production of weekend services. This includes administrating Planning Center, weekly cue sheets and coordinating the technical volunteer team leaders/members and ensuring timely production of all weekend service creative elements.
Essential Job Functions
- Support the Worship Arts Pastor and other Arts team members in the overall administration of the creative design and production processes.
- Regularly review the upcoming production schedule and communicate the need for information or clarification to the Worship Arts Pastor.
- As Teaching Team planning progresses, initiate the creation of plans in Planning Center as the central location for all information associated with a particular series/weekend service.
- Initiate the productions of lighting presentations, ProPresenter media files and ensure song lyrics, images, moving backgrounds, etc. are loaded and ready for presentation.
- Create all required documentation and file it in the established archive structure.
- Function as administrator/coordinator for Arts volunteer ministry teams.
- Ensure all components (cue sheets, video files and other media, computers, etc.) are produced and made ready for weekend services.
- Function as the Lead operator of the soundboard used for Sunday morning productions.
- Coordinate activities in the Tech Booth before (rehearsal) and during weekend services ensuring issues are resolved quickly and with minimal impact on services.
- Identify, obtain, and organize Arts supplies (Batteries, light bulbs, gaffers tape, hazer fluid, etc.) ensuring a constant supply.
- Support the Arts Department with administrative tasks such as song chart preparation, printing and copying materials, sending email communications, and other tasks as requested by the Worship Arts Pastor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
This position requires a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as a staff member in an Arts ministry support capacity. Possession of a BS/BA Degree in Business, Theater, Film, Video Production or related field is a plus. The successful individual will be a strong administrator with a solid work ethic willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ProPresenter, Final Cut ProX, Adobe suite (including Photoshop and Dreamweaver) and other related production applications are required.
