Technical Producer Job Description

General Description

The Technical Producer is responsible for the overall coordination and administration of the service elements required in the production of weekend services.  This includes administrating Planning Center, weekly cue sheets and coordinating the technical volunteer team leaders/members and ensuring timely production of all weekend service creative elements.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Support the Worship Arts Pastor and other Arts team members in the overall administration of the creative design and production processes.
  2. Regularly review the upcoming production schedule and communicate the need for information or clarification to the Worship Arts Pastor.
  3. As Teaching Team planning progresses, initiate the creation of plans in Planning Center as the central location for all information associated with a particular series/weekend service.
  4. Initiate the productions of lighting presentations, ProPresenter media files and ensure song lyrics, images, moving backgrounds, etc. are loaded and ready for presentation.
  5. Create all required documentation and file it in the established archive structure.
  6. Function as administrator/coordinator for Arts volunteer ministry teams.
  7. Ensure all components (cue sheets, video files and other media, computers, etc.) are produced and made ready for weekend services.
  8. Function as the Lead operator of the soundboard used for Sunday morning productions.
  9. Coordinate activities in the Tech Booth before (rehearsal) and during weekend services ensuring issues are resolved quickly and with minimal impact on services.
  10. Identify, obtain, and organize Arts supplies (Batteries,  light bulbs, gaffers tape, hazer fluid, etc.) ensuring a constant supply.
  11. Support the Arts Department with administrative tasks such as song chart preparation, printing and copying materials, sending email communications, and other tasks as requested by the Worship Arts Pastor.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

This position requires a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as a staff member in an Arts ministry support capacity.  Possession of a BS/BA Degree in Business, Theater, Film, Video Production or related field is a plus.  The successful individual will be a strong administrator with a solid work ethic willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.  A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ProPresenter, Final Cut ProX, Adobe suite (including Photoshop and Dreamweaver) and other related production applications are required.

Middle School Pastor Job Description

General Description

The Middle School Pastor is responsible for all aspects of ensuring the spiritual growth and development of middle school students (grades 6 through 8). This includes leadership of weekly programs and periodic special events (camps, conferences, trips, service projects, etc.)

Essential Job Functions

  1. Lead a team of paid staff and volunteers in the creation and operation of a middle school student ministry, including weekly services and routine special events.
  2. Plan and execute biblically accurate, culturally relevant, and high energy services for middle school students.
  3. Create and manage a middle school student ministry calendar that will drive all the activities and teaching of the ministry.
  4. Direct the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers as needed to staff weekly programs and special events.
  5. Develop and disciple a group of student leaders.
  6. Implement student registration, program management, and security policies/practices in support of weekly services and special events.
  7. Cast vision for, teach, and program the church’s annual camp for middle school students outreach event including music selection, development of messages/teaching, and utilization of games and other artistic elements in the inspiration of middle school students in learning about God.
  8. Design, plan, and conduct periodic parent meetings in order to meet the needs and expectations of families attending YOUR CHURCH.
  9. Lead the creative use and proactive upkeep of student ministry facilities and grounds.
  10. Assist in the development of an annual budget for middle school student ministries and manage spending to budget.
  11. Function as a member of YOUR CHURCH’s pastoral staff performing baptism services, weddings, funerals, etc. as part of a rotation schedule.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

This position requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a staff member in a student ministry leadership capacity. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical studies or related field is required. (Extensive ministry experience, in some cases, can be substituted.) The successful individual will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic, possessing a passion for teaching students about God and the ability to administrate as a department head. A working knowledge of creative programming related to student programs and special events is a real plus.

Student Arts Pastor Job Description

General Description

The Student Arts Pastor is responsible for creative use of the arts in support of weekly student worship services and all other student ministry activities. This includes planning, design, and production of weekly student worship services and special events as well as continuous improvement of arts capabilities in student ministries.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Lead a team of volunteers in the development of infrastructure to support use of the arts in student ministries.
  2. Supported by the Worship Arts Pastor, function as a specialist in the areas of music and creative arts, supporting all areas of student ministries.
  3. Plan, design, and produce weekly student worship services.
  4. Function as primary worship leader for weekly student worship services.
  5. Recruit, train, equip, and direct musicians, vocalists, technical/creative artists in the production of weekly student worship services and periodic special events.
  6. Provide arts support as needed in the production of all student ministries special events and other student ministry activities.
  7. Serve as a member of the student ministries Teaching Team authoring and delivering sermons as part of a student teaching rotation schedule.
  8. Serve as backup adult worship leader as needed by the Worship Arts Pastor.
  9. Function as a member of the pastoral staff performing baptism services, weddings, funerals, etc. as part of a rotation schedule.
  10. Assist the Middle School and High School Pastors in the development of an annual departmental budget and management of spending to budget.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

This position requires a minimum of 1 to 3 years experience as a staff member in a student ministry worship leadership capacity. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical studies or related field is required. (Extensive ministry experience, in some cases, can be substituted.) The successful individual will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic, possessing the passion and gifts required to develop and improve creative use of the arts in student ministries.

Preschool Lead Teacher Job Description

General Description

The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of operating a preschool classroom for children ages 2 through pre-Kindergarten. Key areas of responsibility include preparing lesson plans, setting up learning centers, communicating with parents, and overseeing classroom safety.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Arrive 30 minutes prior to class starting. Use this time to prepare for children’s arrival.
  2. Stay 30 minutes after class to clean up.
  3. Attend all staff meetings and monthly curriculum planning meetings to maintain consistency in teaching themes throughout the building.
  4. Work with age level teams to develop year end portfolios for each child.
  5. Work as a classroom team to design monthly bulletin boards.
  6. Attend 6 hours of professional training per year including fire safety.
  7. Keep first aid/CPR training current.
  8. Familiarize yourself with teacher and parent handbooks.
  9. Complete weekly lesson planning. Plans must include manipulatives needed for the week and revolve around the monthly school theme.
  10. Supply lesson plans for substitute teacher in case of absence.
  11. Regularly meet with other teachers.
  12. Prepare learning center activities. Centers should include one or more of the following skills: sorting, matching, sequencing, sensory exploration, fine motor orientation, gross motor orientation, numeric, or alphabetic.
  13. Function as the primary communicator between parents/guardians and school.
  14. Greet parents/guardians at the door when children are arriving and dismissing.
  15. Notify parents/guardians of daily activities as well as writing monthly newsletter, snack calendars, and written evaluations.
  16. Verbally make phone call connection with families within first two weeks of school.
  17. Prepare student evaluations and conduct mid-year conferences with parents/guardians.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

This position requires a minimum of one of the following: 1 – A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.  2 – A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human service field and 1 year of experience with children. 3 – An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children. 4 – An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.

This position requires a minimum of one of the following: 1 – A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field. 2 – A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary training described in 3270.31 PA Child Care Requirements. 3 – A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children. 4 – A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum described in 3270.31 PA Child Care Requirements. 5 – A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 2 years experience with children.
